Ship made of matches

Aeg maha / Time slows down by Vaido

Posted on 2020-09-11

This is a ship model made of matches, which I made already during school. That is - in the last century :)
Because it is a rather fragile object, it suffered greatly over time and waited patiently for repairs during decades.
The spring of this year, when the world was locked, finally gave me confidence that I had enough time to complete with the restoration.

Difficult to discribe how beautiful rainbow couds are. It's not so often we can see them, but last month they appear here often, when it is windy.

Like a big part of the world, Estonia is in an emergency situation right now. As of today, all school buildings in Estonia are closed. Teaching and learning have been moved entirely online from Monday, 16 March.

Our President Kersti Kaljulaid took a virtual tour on Thursday to gain an overview of life in Võru County.
In addition, the Head of State gave a virtual civic education class to Võru State Upper Secondary School students and answered their questions.

Põhjavalgus

Põhjavalgus / Northern light, Estonia by Vaido

Posted on 2015-10-15

I have been chasing for good photo of aurora borealis in my home in Estonia during some years already.
It is not very common to see aurora well at a latitude of 57.9° N, but it's still possible - if you follow the forecasts and weather, or if you are just very lucky :).
Finally on 7th of October 2015 I was in right place at right time with my camera and clouds went away for just this right hour...
