Should of Lamb (Happy Silly Tuesday)

Should of Lamb (Happy Silly Tuesday) by Frances

Posted on 2013-12-03

This lamb was found wondering around a busy market in Kusadasi Turkey. The man holding the animal returned it to it's owners who in fact kept the lamb for keeping their grass tidy. I am happy to report that this animal is still alive and well.

Fade To Black Metallica

Fade To Black by Behzad

Posted on 2020-03-27

Fade To Black
Life, it seems, will fade away
Drifting further, every day
Getting lost within myself
Nothing matters, no one else

I have lost the will to live
Simply nothing more to give
There is nothing more for me
Need the end to set me free

Things not what they used to be
Missing one inside of me
Deathly loss, this can't be real
Cannot stand this hell I feel
Emptiness is filling me
To the point of agony
Growing darkness, taking dawn
I was me, but now he's gone

No one but me
Can save myself, but it's too late
Now I can't think
Think why I should even try

Yesterday seems
As though it never existed
Death greets me warm
Now I will just say goodbye
Goodbye...

Cappadocia

Cappadocia by Behzad

Cappadocia, a semi-arid region in central Turkey, is known for its distinctive “fairy chimneys,” tall, cone-shaped rock formations clustered in Monks Valley, Göreme and elsewhere. Other notables sites include Bronze Age homes carved into valley walls by troglodytes (cave dwellers) and later used as refuges by early Christians. The 100m-deep Ihlara Canyon houses numerous rock-face churches.

Storm Sailing

Storm Sailing by Müge

Posted on 2015-11-21

It was a stormy day in Istanbul. When I looked at the Sea of Marmara from my balcony, I noticed a small sailboat far away from the shore dipping out of waves. I got worried and used my superzoom camera as binoculars to see closer the situation. Fortunately the boat was safe and the two men aboard looked calm and professional. I felt relieved and pressed the shutter button of my camera.

turkey, cappadocia, uçhisar, pigeon valley, bw

primeval by Franz

Posted on 2014-04-02

I spent four days in Cappadocia, a most fascinating region in central turkey that has rightly been declared a world heritage site by UNESCO....

the bizarre landscape of Cappadocia, the ancient towns and villages with their unusual cave dwellings ... all this has a very primeval touch - especially in black and white!

this is the pigeon valley and the village of uçhisar. I find it difficult to distinguish between the caves in the tuff walls and the above-ground houses built from local stone
