Always in bloom the cannas, a real light in the garden.
Autumn light.
More pretty, colorful flowers in the garden.
It's very nice.
Helianthus in the garden.
Planted last year to have bright flowers in the fall.
They like it well and have grown well.
I was walking in the Combrailles and I stumbled upon this small pond in Landogne. I stopped and when I saw this tree on this advance on the water I fell in love with it.
Beauté éphémère.
Un soir de promenade chaleur douce.
Ephemeral beauty.
An evening of gentle warmth for a walk.
Fotografia tirada na margem do rio Mondego.
Photograph taken on the bank of the river Mondego.
This photo was taken in Melbourne centre city in April 2020.
We thought that the COVID lockdown would be over in that year.
Bourke Street (Centre city) looks exactly the same at the end of August 2021.
Hopefully in 2022, may look somewhat different.
Technically not a great shot, I know.
I was set up with my 400mm checking out vegetation for close up wrens, when in the lake .... this Darter bird caught a fish (badly, I dare say)
Sadly, my settings were all wrong. Caught the bird anyway, but .... technically flawed but an interesting shot all the same.
Story of a photographer's life really.
Etrange surprise.
Diving Beetle: discovery in a trash cover filled with water.I did not know, I had never seen one, it seems that it does not sticking but bit hard! Strange surprise.
A young buck has a new pair of antlers growing. I've seen this deer a few times as a fawn with its mother. Nice to see it grow up.

I went to see an exhibition on life in the past in Auvergne. I had taken a lot of pictures. As I walked back to my car in a corner of the parking lot, I saw these beautifully decorated containers. I couldn't leave without taking the photo, it imposed itself on me. Its colorful side and especially the fact that it embellishes these usually so dreadful containers with characters from Fables de la Fontaine.
A chance encounter, strolling through the back streets of an Andalucian village. My first thought was that she must have lived through the Spanish Civil War. She very graciously let me photograph her. After I thanked her and walked away my wife jokingly quipped "bet she was a babe when she was younger." She still is, or sadly now, most likely was. All things must pass, even beauty.

It is the annual livestock market of the Limousin cows. This year a whole new category has been added: Cows without horns.
Jours heureux - happy days. On that morning I went for a check at my doctor's. Coming out, I saw this terrace and people sitting there. It was the first time after many days without having a cup of coffee outside. So I sat happily down and looked around me. I discovered the poster nearby and turned my camera to the terrace for the 2nd exposure.
St Trojan is a municipality located on the island of Oléron bordered by the Atlantic Ocean.
In the oyster port of St Trojan the flat boats of the oyster farmers are moored. The flat-bottomed boat called "flat" or "lasse" makes it possible to move with little draught and to approach the oyster farms more easily. It is used to transport oyster bags.
Rarely, if ever, do you see Hamer people of any gender engaging in any displays of affection, beyond hand shaking. So it was extraordinary to see two women approach each other and kiss, a long involved kiss. Most likely explanatin to my mind is that they were family members who hadn't seen each other for some time and were brought together by the bull-jumping ceremony. A greeting rather than anything else.
I really like the geometric aspect of the Louvre pyramid.
I really liked making this image by trying to make the photo of the teenager on the exhibition panel, by its diagonal, draw the eye towards the teenagers sitting on the benches in the square of the church and in a way that there is a communion between them
I was on the boat that brought me back from Gozo Island to Malta. A man looked at Gozo who was moving away with his glasses by hand and I saw the sun shining on it.
I was walking on the Ile d'Oléron when I saw these pockets of oysters, but it was the red oilskin that was essential to take the picture!
July-August 2021/Glistening water droplets on pods ...
So long and heavy rain, again and again...
But it's good for the Nature!

This is Saga which lies on the Western edge of Kyoto city. Actually, it's impossible to go any further west as this is where the city meets the mountains. This area of the city is known as a popular tourist attraction but not this part and that's precisely why I love it. A short distance from the tourist traps is this large area of farm land which from spring through to the end of summer is teeming with life. This scene shows golden rice fields that will likely be harvested in the coming days. What I particularly love though is the red spider lily that the Japanese call "higanbana" which translates as "equinox flower". They pop up around the rice fields at the time of the equinox and their toxicity keeps vermin away, but despite this they are extremely beautiful. I've been trying to capture the "perfect" higanbana shot for many years (as a click on the higanbana tag below will attest to) but it has so far eluded me. Perhaps next year...
On a hike in the high, craggy Semien Mountain range, Ethiopia, I came across a troupe of Gelada apes. They are more commonly known as Bleeding Heart Monkeys, due to the heart shaped breast on the large males. Although they look like baboons, they are a species of old world monkeys. I strolled slowly through the grass alongside these large apes as they grazed on the grass and flowers. Although aware of my presence, they largely ignored me, somewhat like sheep and cows in the same paddock. This large male was threatening another younger male who approached too close to one of his females. A truly scary display! It was an experience I will never forget.
Un joli mandala naturel, illumine mon jardin
avec de jolies petites étoiles.
A pretty natural mandala, light up my garden

Tansy flower in my garden.
My husband wanted to make green manure
and out of 5 planted plants, only 1 grew.
But not disappointed, I find this plant very beautiful.
In this photo, I wanted to emphasize the "Farmer" aspect of the characters, hence "raw milk" but this was not perceived by the visitors.
I always like to see the Moro Sphinx in the garden. Just like the Hummingbird the Moro Sphinx is always in flight even when feeding.
Many persons go there to see the amazing view , so we went also there .The Mizitres are two huge rock cones flanked by a deserted island rising from the blue sea and signing the beginning of the Kerì Caves.
Keri is famous for nearby Keri cliffs, rising over 300 m from the Ionian Sea. It took me a lot of courage because there is no fence and if you take one step to far you go 300 m down . but i made it :)

This baby hedgehog.
Crossing my yard on July 14 at 8 p.m. ... It was my fireworks display! ....
I gave him something to eat. Some cat food and white goat cheese
and water to drink.
Amazing what we can accomplish when we feel instead of thinking. Yeah I had an idea of what I wanted to capture and that was the easy part, but I allowed myself to linger for two hours last night with this image trying a barrage of ideas. I'd make a move, step back and ask "what if?" Trashed more layers in PS than I kept but I finally arrived at that "Aha" moment that we are all seeking. It felt balanced and complete so there were no more steps to take.
Windmill and Old Farm Gear, Near Entrance to Pinnacles National Park, California
Captured this past Saturday afternoon with my IR converted Sony III. The outside temperature was 110 degrees - the red was seared into my memory.
So many steps and missteps that I could never remember or explain the process - I just kept taking that next step.
