This photo was taken in Argentina while my husband and I, on our bikes, were approaching El Chalten, a small town at the foot of Mount Fitz Roy. I still remember the emotion felt at the gigantism of these mountains on the edge of Argentina. We were preparing to begin the crossing in Chile to pedal on the legendary Carretera Austral.
