Dona Celia started working from home baking cakes. She had a lot of success and would get called to do custom orders. Through word of mouth she has built her business up and now has a steady flow of events to cater. Not only has she brought her immediate family an added income but she has also created jobs for her daughter in laws, friends and sister.

My Mother grew up in Canada during the depression and if she ever noticed anyone at home being wasteful she’d give us a gentle reminder ‘waste not want not’. It helped make us think about how we used what we had. The Mamani’s never used this saying but how they lived brought ‘waste not want not’ to a new level.

Dona Celia is everyone's Mother, she is gentle and caring reaching out with warmth and sincerity. When we first met I was welcomed into the meeting and eating area of her home and invited to lunch. Over the 30 years that I have known her there have been many conversations, meals shared and advice given. For me Dona Celia is the feeling of home.
