In Argan, Morocco, merchants vend their wares in the street amongst the many small stores selling the regionally produced oil produced from Argania spinosa, a flowering plant, in this region.

Dans les traces d'YSL

Le Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech is one of the most visited places in Morocco. In shady paths, there wanders amongst trees and exotic plants whose origin dream, there runs along water paths refreshing murmur and filled with water lilies and lotus ponds; we hear in the air with sweet fragrances here and there the rustling of leaves and the chirping of many birds refuge from it....

The Tanners Souk, Fes

The Tanners Souk, Fes by DaveB

Posted on 2007-10-07

This is the first image from my trip to Morocco, taken towards the end of the trip. This is an image of the Tanners Souk in Fes; here, men work with pigeon droppings and possibly carcinogenic chemicals for pounds a day, while tourists sit on rooftops, waft mint under their nose to ward off the smell, and take photos! More than a bit wrong, but an experience nonetheless

Esplanade Baghdadi

Esplanade Baghdadi by Benkirane Thami

Soif d'étanchéité 4/13 by Benkirane Thami

This is what happens when we do not respect the "baghrère" gestures!

* Baghrère is a variety of Moroccan pancake made from fine semolina and wheat flour and which has small holes, small holes, always small holes, etc.

In high Atlas in Morocco , women are fine artists weaving carpets during winter. Here is a scene shot in a little village when they are preparing the tread for the next woolen carpet.

I paused here because of the interaction between the mother and child. But what really makes this image are the shafts of light. I often over look this second hand lens, but I sold my sigma 35 and kept this one. Cheap, light and does the trick 35m Nikon f2.

Thirst of waterproofness.

Pleine lune

Pleine lune by Benkirane Thami

Yesterday evening, in the wasteland, young people were having fun stoking the fire by feeding it with scrap wood, crates and everything they had on hand ... They did not see, at - above their heads, the round eye of the moon ...

Posted on 2013-07-28

This photo is a part of a long series of 62 images taken by the same point of view: my window which gives onto the street. The presence of a plant on the windowsill (often a cactus) is a constant one, alone varies the animation of the street. This outside space constitutes my real landscape on a daily basis. It is dirty, sprinkled with garbage of all kinds and pavements evoke a field which has just undergone a massive bombardment of air-to-surface missiles.
