Beach Penghu National Scenic Area, Penghu, Taiwan

One of the many beaches of Penghu, Taiwan

Penghu is included in the Most Beautiful Bays in the World Club. This is one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever been to, and I've been to lots of beaches throughout Asia, the US, and Europe. This beach is off the beaten path, and once you're on the beach there's nothing but the sand and water - there's no food, no water, no bathrooms, no infrastructure whatsoever. It is simply relaxing and gorgeous!

Kenting National Park Taiwan

Natural Wonder - Kenting National Park, Taiwan by Henry Westheim

Posted on 2015-11-14

Kenting National Park is Taiwan's oldest national park; it was declared a National Park on January 1, 1984. This scene was around a 20 minute walk from where I was staying on the beach. The weather when I woke up early in the morning was overcast, but in the middle of the morning the sky cleared up and Mother Nature painted the sky with amazing colors and bathed the tree tops with sunlight. Kenting, Taiwan is beautiful!

Food Factory

Food Factory by Nitin

At the first ever Din Tai Fung restaurant in Taipei. It probably started right, and it still is right. But can we neglect the crowded, monotonous, factory-like setting these people are working in, almost like raising chickens for KFC?

I am caught between ethics and taste. Between space and time. And between many other emotions as I witness this scene in the restaurant kitchen.

Kuibishan (Kuibi Hill) Geopark, Penghu, Taiwan

Penghu, Taiwan, also known as the Pescadores Islands, is an archipelago of 64 islands in the Taiwan Strait, part of the South China Sea. To the best of my knowledge, like the nearby basalt columns, this island was formed between 17 and 18 million years ago by lava shooting up through the faults in the seabed.
