This was taken at home just a few minutes after emerging from its chrysalis and still drying her wings ... many photos later, I let her go ...
Favorites ... there are a lot but this is special because we were celebrating my mother's 87th Birthday and I like the mood and of course the light and the silhouettes of my son and of one of my daugthers ... and my mother, she's avoiding the smoke.
A few days ago I found a dead butterfly in my garden (usually I don't photograph dead insects) and I was impressed by the beauty of the drawings and the "eyes"on its wings. I took the wings and began placing them together in different ways and suddenly I noticed this fabulous face in them ... Of course, I had to photograph it and share it with all of you ...
