Helen is photographing in Melbourne,, Zimbabwe
Victoria Falls. This magnificent curtain of water was named by the Kalolo-Lozi people as Mosi-oa-Tunya, “the smoke that thunders.”
The sound can be heard from quite a distance away and large clouds of mist rise above for many metres into the sky.
The mist is so heavy that it makes it quite a challenging experience to take photographs with a camera. If you go, make sure you take a rain sleeve for your camera and a waterproof jacket for yourself!
