Collonges la Rouge one of the most beautiful villages in France
The particularity of this village is that all buildings are red
The geological explanation is: the geological fault line between the Brive Basin at Meyssac mark the break between calcareous soils and land of sandstone. Sandstones that have this red with iron oxide, which is a feature of the local natural heritage.
