From early morning fisherman to abandoned ships on the shore. Boats bring an element of interest to a sea scene. They can be dramatic when photographed as silhouettes against a rising or setting sun. Boats can add a dynamic foreground element to an otherwise static beach scene.

A lone boat on still water can be a good opportunity to use negative space in the image, making the boat appear to be floating on air.

These boat scenes by Aminus3 photographers explore some different ways to frame a water scene, and provide some inspirational imagery to get creative.
