Looking back a decade to life happening around the world on January 10, 2010 ...

These kids playing in the streets of Bangladesh and Iran are all grown up now.



In January 2010, the Burj Khalifa building in Dubai, UAE had its inaugural opening celebration with a brilliant fireworks display spanning all 828m (2,717 ft) of this remarkable building. Ten years later, the Burj Khalifa still reigns as the tallest building in the world, more than twice as tall as the Empire State Building in New York.



Snow fell over Europe in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands



And in parts of the United States...



Lake Vättern in Östergötland, Sweden might look bright and colorful, even though it was -4F degrees (-20C)/



Rain poured down in the neon streets of Hong Kong.

While other parts of Asia were much more inviting.
